FIFF holds Broken Olive Branches section

Films on Islamic world crises have been set to be screened at the second edition of Broken Olive Branches section of the36th Fajr International Film Festival.

Regarding the importance of regional issues in the Middle East and the issues related to the Islamic world, FIFF Broken Olive Branches section screens 10 films to spotlight the flicks which deal with war against ISIS (Daesh), Sectarianism, war in Yemen, and crisis in Myanmar.

The section hosts films and filmmakers from Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Turkey.

The international version of the Fajr festival is to start in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on April 19. It lasts until April 27.

The Fajr International Film Festival is held by the Farabi Cinema Foundation, an extension of the country’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

This is while, the domestic version of the Fajr Film Festival has come to an end on February 11, with the announcement of winners from Iran.
